FREE family-friendly movies at a different SLC Park each week
Fridays, June 3 through July 15
A new park each week
Salt Lake City will show a FREE movie at a new park for seven straight Fridays starting in June. The movies are all family-friendly, but fun for all ages. They are shown on a large inflatable screen and popcorn is free while it lasts, thanks to Salt Lake City and CW30.
Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy a neighborhood party under the stars. Community booths will open at 8pm and the movies will begin around 9pm (or so)!
Check out "Friday Night Flicks" for a list of the movies.

Family History Conference
One of the largest gatherings of family history experts in the world will take place in Salt Lake City during the last week of this month. The 13th Annual Conference on Computerized Genealogy and Family History, traditionally held at Brigham Young University in Provo in March, will take place at the Salt Palace on April 26 and 27, immediately followed by the four-day Annual Conference (April 28-May 1) of the National Genealogical Society, also at the Salt Palace. The conferences are designed to be how-to guides for beginning, intermediate and advanced researchers.
This is an exceptional opportunity for those with an interest in family history, an interest that already is booming due to the NBC TV show, "Who Do You Think You Are?" The two-day conference includes more than 50 classes to help participants learn about advances in computer programs, research techniques, more information can be found at http://familyhistoryconferences.byu.edu.

Junk Wanted!
I am on the look out for random objects. I will be making small machines with students at a local school. If anyone has any clean junk laying around, I would love your contributions!
Examples include: plastic containers, toilet paper rolls, old CDs, metal cans, nonfunctional electronic gadgets, plastic bottles, paper products, metal wires, florist wires, brads, dowels, toothpicks, pipe cleaners, craft sticks, old windshield wiper - basically anything clean.
If you have anything that you would like to donate, please drop it off at my house 378 S 1200 E (east-facing doors) by Monday, March 29th.
Thanks!
